Bear Claws

Solid Gold with Platinum detailing, these matching bear claw rings were commissioned by Shernay; Owner of Chocolate Bear Productions.

This started off with a few different ideas (shown in the sketches below). We arrived at this design, just in time to celebrate Shernay's 40th Birthday.

Hand carved in wax and cast in 9ct yellow gold. The claw element with platinum plating for contrast included a protective coating underneath (for extra long wear).

I've compiled both the wax carving process, the polishing and finishing of the rings into two videos below.

Books are currently closed for commissions but will reopen end of summer.

Many thanks to Shernay for requesting these. It was something quite different from anything I've made before. Simplicity isn't always easier! We are both very happy with how they turned out. Happy 40th Shernay!
