Bangle Broke

If you bend it enough times, it will break.

Let's keep your jewellery lasting a lifetime. I'm going to show you the repair, followed by how to avoid needing one.

The jewellery I make is solid sterling silver. It is flexible. However every time it is manipulated it slowly becomes brittle.

Once brittle, it can crack and break.

When buying a bangle, it is important to set the gap at the correct width whilst its malleable. You want it closed enough it's secure on your wrist, but wide enough to slide up and off.

I'll show you the technique in the video>>>

First I'll outline the repair that came in. It was a Flower of Life bangle. It suprised me as this design hasn't needed repairing before; it's chunky! The break was obviously from continued open and closing. No problem I thought, I'll get it looking as good as new.

That being said, I did let the customer know that he would need to be careful with it; and gave assistance to get the gap correct so it would last for years more.

I've been selling theses designs for over 10yrs now, repairs were expected after that long;

But not inevitable.

Here's how the repair went and a trick on where to put the bangle on and off;

it's higher up than you think>>>>

Thank you for looking!
