Painting with WOM in Shoreditch

How better to celebrate international women's day than to paint together?
On the 8th March, all the ladies got together at Allen Gardens (off Brick Lane) in London.
It's a community space and legal wall; that on a sunny one, catches the rays all day.
On this Sunday, the fog lingered but the vibes were great :)

Here's how my wall went, from scratch....
Getting things scaled up is most of the battle! Colouring it in: the 'fill' was super fun.
Recently I've been thinking on identity and multidisciplinarianism (probably the longest word I've written in years, and misspelt). Anyway, I chose to paint a character inspired by the Chimaera. Because sometimes I feel like not one being, but a meddley.
After experimenting with letters at home, the mythical beast suited the 'F' really well.
Although everyone saw a mermaid instead, which I'm not mad at.
The bottom half is meant to be a snake, although I can now see the beige part of the 'L' forms a nice fish tail, haha. She has a goat body and hooves for hands. I could've made her head more lion like to push the Chimera idea, but overall, I'm really happy with how this one came out.
Am I a jeweller who loves painting or a painter who loves jewellery?
Does it matter? May worlds collide!
The days are longer and warmer now, so there will be more painting AND more jewellery.
Thanks for reading and thanks to the WOM girls for a lovely day.
