Kola wanted his chain fixing, but with a twist...

This beautiful chain and pendant were made for Kola in India. Unfortunately, after much use, the chain broke.

Kola has a collection of many different chains, they all have a beautiful hook for the clasp.

He asked for a hook and hoop to be added rather than just repair the break.

This enables him to mix and match his chains, turning his collection into and endless choice of combinations in lengths and styles.

Kola requested it be a bit larger than the one already on the chain

(he's got large hands and it would make it easier for him.

The first thing to do was to shape the fastening in silver.

Once made, I soldered the new addition into place. Here's how it went....

Simple jobs are never that simple, for example, this repair requires the entire chain and pendant to be repolished for a uniform finish.

It's all part of the service.
