Grafitti legend, long time friend and nice guy, Tizer got talking one day.
Times are tough for creatives right now.
We were chatting about joining forces; we're all at the age now where we know lots of people who are doing well in their fields.
Ashley, Owner of The Circle Tattoo came to mind. 'Tizer, you have a bunch of rad paintings and my friend Ashley wants to have regular exhibitions at his shop in Central'.
It made sense to fit these pieces together.
So one day whilst we were painting in Tottenham, Ashley came past. He met Ed (Tizer), Anna, Odisy and Matilda.
I enjoyed seeing different factions get on and chat away.
At the same time, I'd suggested to Ed that we make a Yeti Pendant and he was keen.
Tizer let me know he would show his paintings at the Circle at the end of the month.
Would that be enough time to make the pendants?
Barely. I planned to have the Master ready in time to show at least.
Mostly I was excited for Tizer to exhibit in Central. I knew Ashley would look after him, as he's super thorough with every event. I love how Ash works.
He contacted Jagermeister to get custom Yeti-meister's made. Ordered in the beers and even arranged tattooers to tattoo Tizer flash on the opening night.
Making The Yeti Master
First things first, choosing which Yeti of Tizer's to carve in wax. Ed came over to sketch some designs. We discussed full body Yeti's and settled on a face close up for more character.
Now I know I planned to only have the Master to display at the show.
I also knew that if I worked really hard I could have castings polished & hallmarked in time as well. I had about 4 1/2 weeks. Considering carving would take days, casting the master, a week. Cleaning the master up and returning to have a mold made and multiples cast, another week at least. This doesn't even include the polishing, the lazer engraving and hallmarking.
Did I do it? Yes I did.
Here's how it went....
Part 1 Wax Carving the Master Yeti
Video Process Description
Choosing from Ed's Designs
Transferring onto wax
Carving and Smoothing
Taking finished wax to AA Fine Castings
Collecting the Master Yeti
I'll be honest, the design I carved wasn't the yeti I transferred onto the wax.
We changed our minds mid wax carving.
I also think I could've captured the likeness better if I had more time. I should've added the fangs in wax, rather than later in silver. There's a weird thing that happens to me, carvers fatigue, where I decide the wax is too fragile and it would be better to alter things in it's silver form. That is rarely the case! It's usually better to adjust in wax
Despite these things, I made the tweaks needed when I got the master casting back.
Part 2 Finishing the Master & Producing the Pendants
After collecting the silver casting, I got straight to work completing the Master Yeti.
Many things needed doing, here's a breakdown of tasks:
Soldering the hoop onto Yet'i's head
Adding bottom fangs (very fiddly work but pleased I did it)
Engraving the back with a Tizer Logo (thank you to The Great Frog for the engraving)
Creating a custom bale
Taking the Master & Bale to the casters and ordering castings
Finishing the Pendants
Collecting the castings
Removing sprews and polishing
Soldering bales onto each hop
Hand numbering each pendant
Hallmarking drop off and collection
Final mirror polish
Delivery to Tizer
Watch the video below to see it all happen:
And just in the nick of time, on the day of the Show Opening, I delivered the pendants.

Now the 3 photos above, do not do the night justice. First of all, I didn't get footage of Ed's artwork, which is outrageous, however it was too busy to see any of it.
So many people showed up for Ed, I was stoked to bits. I had so many people to talk to and it was non stop conversations until it closed.
Ed was over the moon with the turn out and over the moon with his pendant as well.
I may return to add some more descriptions and photos of the night soon. In the meantime I'm updating my website. So if there's any hiccups on my pages you spot, please let me know. I am only one human, haha.
Thanks for reading this far. And do check out the links to attached names to see Ed's work, The Circle's Page and others I've mentioned
