Now, my client Craig is the reason The Robus Ring came into being.

About a year ago I made him a solid white gold ouroboros ring. When we met up to give him the ring, I couldn't help but notice that the rest of his jewellery was chunky af. At that point in time I wasn't able to take on a wax carving commission due to being booked up.

That said, I reached out once my work load cleared and expressed my willingness to make a larger version if he was interested.

Craig was pleased I reached out and we got to discussing his ideal width of the new ring.

He decided on a white gold casting, this time with white Rhodium Plating.

I was happy to use the previous white gold ouroboros ring towards the larger design.

So below is the old gold casting together with the new Robus wax.

Then shown is the Robus cast in white gold next to the Ouroboros ring.

And the last shot is me cleaning up the Robus in white gold.

If you'd like to see the full process, check out the video below>>>>

It shows me polishing the white gold Robus ring which prepared it for Rhodium plating.

The purpose of plating the casting is to keep the ring bright as well as protecting the gold underneath. It also has one more layer between the gold and White Rhodium for longevity.

Craig received his custom Robus ring and was super happy. It now matched the rest of his bold jewellery, and in the end, the job was a total success.

Thank you Craig!
